In Have Your Pie- and eat it too!
Setting up GDPR and consent You Phone Number Database have one main container and create your own GTM container for each cookie consent type (e.g. marketing, preferences, or statistics). You place the necessary tags, triggers and variables in these GTM containers. These are fired based on the cookie consent choice in the Phone Number Database cookie bar. Setting a Zone Creating Zones and setting up the Zone boundaries and type restrictions is quite simple. Everything will become clearer in the following steps. First go to the Phone Number Database folder 'Zones' and click on 'new'.Zones Google Tag Manager You will now get the following screen, where you can choose between 3 options: Zone configuration. Zone Boundaries Type Restrictions Phone Number Database Below I discuss all 3 in more detail. Zone Google Task Manager1. Zone Configuration Choose a container that you want to link via Zone configuration. Then click on Phone Number Database the plus sign or the large gray bar to enter a GTM container ID. You can also give the container a name (not required). To maintain a better overview, I do recommend keeping all added Phone Number Database containers under one and the same account. This means you always have access to all containers. 2. Zone Boundaries At Zone boundaries you can indicate where the GTM container is loaded on the website. This can be on all pages, for Phone Number Database example, or on a limited number of pages. If you opt for a limited number of pages, you can use fixed variables or custom variables. It is also possible to indicate at zone limits when a zone is deactivated. In other words: no fire. 3. Type Restrictions With type restrictions it is possible to Phone Number Database adjust permissions of the GTM container. You determine what can and cannot be placed on the basis of tags, triggers and variables. Do you decide to restrict the rights? Then you can check Phone Number Database typing restrictions (see image below). Type restrictions can be used to ensure that certain tag types cannot be used in the Zone. This can be useful, for example, if you place a Facebook pixel in the main container.
